Ten of the brightest business students at Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School attended The E.R. Monaco Small Business Enterprise Centre 18th Annual Business Plan Competition awards dinner Tuesday night at Liuna Station. This year’s competition was unprecedented as over 100 students participated in submitting nearly 90 business plans. The competition gives students and young entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their business skills through the development of a professional business plan. Each of the students were presented with a "Certificate of Achievement"; letters of recognition from our Mayor, MP, MPP; as well as monetary gifts and prizes.
Special recognition goes out to Brendan Furlanetto who was able to secure 2nd place in the city and 1st overall in the school with his landscaping business Furly’s Property Care. Brendans’s goal is to beautify the environment one lawn at a time.
The Business and Computer Studies Department at BR, offers challenging and innovative courses that allow students the opportunity to develop as completely as possible in the direction of their individual needs and talents.
