COVID-19 and distance learning – Let us know what you think

The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is listening.

COVID-19 has not only impacted the learning environment but the home environment for thousands of students and their families and those of our dedicated staff. The HWCDSB is launching ThoughtExchange, an online stakeholder engagement tool, to hear from students, parents and staff about their personal experiences with the home learning reality.

Just as your experiences are varied, so too are your insights.

We hope that you will take a few minutes to share your thoughts about your experiences with distance learning, as a student, parent/guardian, or staff member. This information is important to our ability to support students and families and respond to student learning needs.

Your voice matters, so your participation is crucial and valued.

Click on this link to participate.

You'll be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (20 to 30 is ideal), and learn what's important to the HWCDSB community.

Your thoughts and stars are confidential. You can come back as often as you like to revisit your answers and rate the thoughts of other.

The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on as we continue to support home learning during these extraordinary times.

The ThoughtExchange platform will be open until Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

If you need technical help, please call Thoughtexchange at 1-800-361-9027 ext. 4 or email help@thoughtexchange.com.
