The Heritage Green Community Trust believes in giving back to the community of Upper Stoney Creek. What better way to give back than to promote continuous learning and higher education to the students living in the area. The Heritage Green Community Trust Scholarship Program provides financial support to students who live within a 3 km radius of the GFL Stoney Creek Regional Facility. This Scholarship Program is designed to help students who wish to continue their education at the post-secondary level who put forward visionary ideas to stimulate community building. The Trust awarded 13 scholarships this year and three of those recipients were Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School students. The students were invited to attend the Trust's AGM on Monday, May 26th at the Valley Park Library. The successful recipients were: Daniella Umbrello, Connor Ledgerwood, and Mark Vrataric.
